2009
Was a very slow year for many chasers. There were a few really good tornado events. I did not have the opportunity to see any of the really good events. I came away with two small, brief tornadoes, making my 10 year total tornado count, 75. I was able to witness lots of good structure and a few really good funnels throughout the year. I witnessed one really large funnel in the occlusion of a meso over Oregon, Missouri June 7, 2009.
This year I chased with my Nikon D40x DSLR and my 3CCD Panasonic Mini-dv camera. I chased with Amos Magliocco, Scott Eubanks, Dave Fick, Nick Grillo, Bob Hartig, Bill Oosterban, and Tom Oosterban. I met a lot of stormtrackers as well. I also caught up with Scott Currens, having a brief yet good conversation. Enjoy the year in pictures.
