The very last storm of 2008 brought some brief lightning

Bob Hartig, David Diehl, and myself intercepted several tornado warned storms in Michigan and in norther IN. Bob and I were to far away to witness several tornadoes north of Kalamazoo. But we did witness a funnel Near the border of IN and MI with David. It was tornado warned for several minutes.

Non-severe weather event near Holland/Zeeland. Beautiful shelf cloud developed off of outflow from the storm and created a delicate striated structure

Early Morning Lightning.

Bob Hartig and I managed to catch an incoming shelf cloud coming of the Lake near Saugutuck, MI. I was pleased to have caught several daytime lightning shots. I really like the colors in these shots.

I was able to capture some of the best day time lightning I have every photographed on this day. This is south of Kalamazoo near the intersections of I-94 and 131.

I have never seen a storm take the water right off the surface of the lake. Today that changed. Pretty cool image. Got two nice lightning shots as well.

Three Supercells crawled across SW Michigan this day. No tornadoes but several warnings.

A few Supercells developed but nothing tornadic could be produced in Nebraska. Everything was along the OFB in OK.

Andrew Khan and I headed to Georgia and intercepted several tornado warned supercells. Chasing is tough in GA. But I was surprised to see as much open space as I did. Storm motion was b/w 35-50mph
