Recently looked at the METARs this morning and was impressed to see how well defined the surface winds wrap around the low. Very broad and occluded.

METARS 12_25_2009

We had freezing rain last night which turned into just rain.  This morning we are in the mid to upper 30′s with a drop in temps on its way.  Its interesting to see how the low has pulled warm air so far north well pulling cold air so far south.

I used the more colorful Weather Channel version, but that is an impressive surface observation chart!

I don’t know if all your snow melted in GR, but we’re pretty snow-less here in Lansing. I have to appreciate a not-white Christmas for once :) It’s somewhat rare here.

    Merry Christmas!

We still had a bit of snow and we got a good five inches today. Hope you had fun in OK and TX on your new years venture. I was in Louisiana.
