May 24

Highway 36 Chillicothe to Macon, MO

I captured one large tornado over Chillicothe MO on May 24 and another one about 5 miles east of that which was rain wrapped, but visible but not photographical. I was also running to get clear of baseball size hail at the time of the second tornado reason why there are no pictures or stills of video. Tornado #3 occured with in the HP rain hail core wrap, about 20 minutes after the tornado #2. tornado #4 happened out side of the rotating wall of rain and hail, as you will be able to see the rotating HP supercell front with lightning infront. I had opportunity to take pictures of this and video but a outflow downdraft gave a 50 mph gust that knocked over my cameras as I was about to start shooting so i decided it was best to get a head of the whole thing. As I did so lightning rained down out of the anivil all around me. So crazy me got out and captured some of the most beautiful lightning I have seen in many years especially since some had the sunset in the back ground which is hard and rare to capture.

Stills of #1 tornado will be coming shortly and maybe a short video clip. but in mean time enjoy these Lightning pics ( video wise not much to see actually, but i can atleast have the memory of seeing a wedge tornado in MO).
